Penalty for Non Paying Service Tax

If you fall in the ambit where you have to pay service tax correctly and you fail to do so than you can be levied with a penalty as stated below:

The rule states that any person, liable to pay service tax in accordance with the provisions of section 68 or the rules made under this Chapter, who fails to pay such tax, shall pay, in addition to such tax and the interest on that tax in accordance with the provisions of section 75, a penalty which shall not be less than [one hundred rupees] for every day during which such failure continues or at the rate of [one per cent.] of such tax, per month, whichever is higher, starting with the first day after the due date till the date of actual payment of the outstanding amount of service tax :

FIIs Consolidated Investment in India

Looking for facts and figures for Foreign Institutional investors (FIIS) investment in India, than it is worthwhile to note that FIIs investment has crossed $150 billion mark of net investments made in Indian stocks in last two decades.

 "A long long time ago, there lived a beautiful princess by the name of Veeravati. When she was of the marriageable age, Veeravati was married to a king. On the occasion of the first Karva Chauth after her marriage, she went to her parents' house." "After sunrise, she observed a strict fast. However, the queen was too delicate and couldn't stand the rigours of fasting. By evening, Veeravati was too weak, and fainted. Now, the queen had seven brothers who loved her dearly. They couldn't stand the plight of their sister and decided to end her fast by deceiving her. They made a fire at the nearby hill and asked their sister to see the glow. They assured her that it was the moonlight and since the moon had risen, she could break her fast." "However, the moment the gullible queen ate her dinner, she received the news that her husband, the king, was dead. The queen was heartbroken and rushed to her husband's palace. On the way, she met Lord Shiva and his consort, Goddess Parvati. Parvati informed her that the king had died because the queen had broken her fast by watching a false moon. However, when the queen asked her for forgiveness, the goddess granted her the boon that the king would be revived but would be ill." "When the queen reached the palace, she found the king lying unconscious with hundreds of needles inserted in his body. Each day, the queen managed to remove one needle from the king's body. Next year, on the day of Karva Chauth, only one needle remained embedded in the body of the unconscious king." "The queen observed a strict fast that day and when she went to the market to buy the karva for the puja , her maid removed the remaining needle from the king's body. The king regained consciousness, and mistook the maid for his queen. When the real queen returned to the palace, she was made to serve as a maid." "However, Veeravati was true to her faith and religiously observed the Karva Chauth vrat . Once when the king was going to some other kingdom, he asked the real queen (now turned maid) if she wanted anything. The queen asked for a pair of identical dolls. The king obliged and the queen kept singing a song " Roli ki Goli ho gayi... Goli ki Roli ho gayi " (the queen has turned into a maid and the maid has turned into a queen)." "On being asked by the king as to why did she keep repeating that song, Veeravati narrated the entire story. The king repented and restored the queen to her royal status. It was only the queen's devotion and her faith that won her husband's affection and the blessings of Goddess Parvati."

Karwa Chauth Vrat Katha

Long time ago, a man named Vedsharma and his wife Leelavati lived a happy life with seven sons and a daughter named Veeravati. The daughter was the family's favourite. After her marriage, when Veeravati observed her first Karwa Chauth, she had to face a lot hardship. She was unable to stay without food and water and fainted. After seeing her condition, the brothers decided to trick their sister into breaking the fast.

One of the brothers climbed a tree with a lamp. When Veeravati gained the consciousness, the other brothers told her that the moon had risen and brought her on the terrace to see the moon, so that she could break her fast.

Seeing the lamp, she believed that the moon had really risen behind the tree and Veervati broke her fast. According to popular belief, after her third morsel of food, she was called by her in-laws and told that husband had died. While she cried inconsolably, Goddess Indrani appeared and told her that she had broken the fast without giving argha or offering to the moon and that is why her husband died. The goddess also said that if she keeps chauth vrat every month, her husband would be back. When Veervati followed the rituals, as suggested by the goddess, with devotion her husband woke up.

Now we can see Nifty spearheading for higher levels only if a rate cut is undertaken by RBI in its forthcoming meet and it appears to be unlikely. All transactions over a certain limit require a Transaction Password.  This is also required when adding a new beneficiary.

Transaction Password is delivered by SMS to the mobile number that you provided. The delivery of the SMS to your mobile phone is dependent on the service of the mobile service operator.  Please enter the Transaction Password delivered to you via SMS to authorize the transaction.

If you fail to receive the OTP through SMS, now you can request a new OTP on your email ID registered with the Bank, by clicking "Email OTP" Button. Email OTP button will be activated in next 60 seconds. Once you click on Email OTP button, the password sent through SMS will be invalid. 

Now a days it is important that you keep your mobile phone secure as number of financial transactions are delivered on your mobile and thus do not hand over your mobile to any unknown persons.

However if Nifty moves above 5800 level and shows 3 consecutive closing; than we are in a confirmed another leg of bullish upmove which can extend till Nifty 6300 level.

Now as a chartist and as a technical Analyst we see market going weak below Nifty levels of 5739 and same needs to be watched as bull force from FDIs may subsidise due to FDIs facing redemption pressure at their home front due to impending Christmas sale.

Another bad news for Indian stock market is that IMF has cut India's growth forecast to 6% for 2013 versus a previous forecast of 6.6% and it can weigh heavily if Nifty trades below 5739 on Monday. Last closing day saw market breadth being weak with 1,786 stocks declines as against 1,076 advances on the BSE.
