Now it is official as HDFC bank ATMs are flashing a message that if you leave cash in ATM machine and leave than same can be collected by next person. Have a look at notice flashed while doing online transactions through bank website
Important Message: Please collect all your cash before leaving the ATM room
As per RBI mandate, any cash left behind in the ATM tray will not be taken back by the ATM machine. Uncollected cash can then be taken by the next person using the ATM. HDFC Bank will not be liable for any financial loss.
