*Well, today, on behalf of the Govt. of India, Modi ji signed a deal with Nepal - to reopen the rail line from Kathmandu to Kolkata (and extend it upto Dhaka in Bangla Desh) & another line from Kathmandu to Delhi!*
*A rail network already exists from Beijing to Lhasa to Kathmandu !*
*What does this mean?*
*Now, there is very short sealink from China to Kolkata, as against the CPEC! Exporters can send cargo to Kathmandu (& China cannot object to this!) & from Kathmandu (to be made as Container Hub) transporters can send cargo to Kolkata or via Delhi, right up to Kandla on the Western India Sea Coast!*
*This has killed the viability of the CPEC in Pakistan is ruined because the debt of USD 62 Billions is to be repaid and there would be zero income!*
