What Indian-Share-Tips.Com has done to Reach WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the Indian standard IS 17802, on Digital Accessibility

Indian-Share-Tips.com, operated by Gulshan Khera, CFP (SEBI Registered Investment Adviser, Registration No. INA100011988), wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people with disabilities. This statement describes how accessible the site is, what we have done, what we know still needs work, and how to contact us.

Standard we follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This also covers WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the Indian standard IS 17802, which SEBI's circulars on digital accessibility refer to.

Conformance status

Partially conformant. Most of the website meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA, but some content and some third-party services do not yet fully meet it. The known gaps are listed below.

What we have done

  • Rebuilt the site template so it works with a keyboard alone, including menus and the mobile menu.
  • Added a "Skip to main content" link, clear page regions, one main heading per page and a logical heading order, so screen readers can move around the page easily.
  • Made the keyboard focus clearly visible on every link, button and form field.
  • Increased colour contrast of text and buttons to at least 4.5:1.
  • Allowed pinch-zoom on mobile and let text and boxes grow when you zoom or change text spacing.
  • Added labels to all form fields and text alternatives to images.
  • Added a Pause button to the moving highlights panel. It also stops automatically if your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Removed scripts that stopped visitors from selecting or copying text.

How we test

We test the site with automated accessibility checking tools and with manual keyboard and mobile checks. "An independent accessibility audit has been undertaken by an IAAP-certified professional, including usability testing by persons with disabilities and report submitted to SEBI in given time line.

Known limitations

  • Older articles: some older posts may contain images of text, images without useful descriptions, or tables without headers. We are fixing the most-visited posts first. If you need any article in an accessible form, contact us and we will send it.
  • Symbols in articles: some articles use emoji symbols as bullet points, which some screen readers read aloud.
  • Video reviews: some client video reviews may not have captions or transcripts yet.
  • Third-party services: advertisements (Google AdSense), the live chat window (Tawk.to), comments (Cackle), embedded YouTube videos and external payment pages are provided by other companies. We have limited control over their accessibility.
  • Stock chart tool: the "Stock Charts to Watch" page uses an older tool that is not fully accessible.
