I have always advocated my children that be the best in whichever field you chose and this field can be anything ranging from being a chef to being a top class industrialist.
Why I always harp on the fact to become the best as rewards are much more for a number one in the segment then either no 2 or no ten as one may not see much disparity in revenue being generated by a number two guy or number ten in the same business. However same can not be said about the number one in life.
This fact has been explained with an example of Vanilla Ice-cream being number one in the world. People tend to go with the best in the industry and this explains highest sale of Vanilla ice-cream worldwide.Have a look at below screenshot and keeping this ideology we have strived to be no#1 in tips providing industry by raising the bar for ourselves and we have been rightly adjudged as no#1 share tips provider in India and we have received this award from the most renowned person in India.
We can further explain this fact with the revenue generated by Invincible movie as compared to balance movies which were below it in ranking in the same year and one finds that revenue difference from no 2 to no 10 was negligible.
We have taken this screenshot to bring out this fact that we need to teach our children to become the best rather than being a mediocre and let him choose his field and let not force our assumptions and desires of a particular field on him.
