I have always advocated my children that be the best in whichever field you chose and this field can be anything ranging from being a chef to being a top class industrialist.
Why I always harp on the fact to become the best as rewards are much more for a number one in the segment then either no 2 or no ten as one may not see much disparity in revenue being generated by a number two guy or number ten in the same business. However same can not be said about the number one in life.
This fact has been explained with an example of Vanilla Ice-cream being number one in the world.
