PM Relief Fund for Uttarakhand Flood Victims

Flash floods have occurred in Uttarakhand leading to a large number of pilgrims deaths. An appeal has been issued for donation to PM relief fund to help the flood victims. Have a look at below circular and you can make the payments as per guidelines given in the screenshot below. Moreover you will be also entitled to income tax rebate.

However as a nation we need to undertake the introspection that why such flash floods have occurred and one key area which needs immediate attention is the afforestation drive as no tree cover means loose soil and we have a flash flood of mud also coming simultaneously and it has gobbled a number of pilgrims. Lets hope that good sense prevail and instead of concrete jungles we have actual forests.
