From misgivings over his management of the economy, a low approval rating, a stiff opposition from the Republican Party and the challenges of a divided legislature, Barack Obama won a surprise lead to get a second term.
Obama and Romney fought a Presidential battle but at no stage we saw mud slinging being undertaken and here in India we have President Mukherjee as a President being taken to Supreme Court by his competitor Mr Sangma who could not make it to the top job. It is awful that Mr Sangma was playing a tribal card.
We as a nation has to rise above caste, creed, religion and politics and work together to take our country to next level. As a citizen of India; I want to see India being called a developed country and not a snake charmer's country.
