Income Tax Return Filing Date Extended

All those who were about to miss the deadline for the filing of the income tax return (ITR) can heave a sigh of relief as income tax filing return date has been extended till the end of Aug 2012. Please read the extension circular below which bears no. 225/163/2012/ITA.II dated July 31st 2012 and CBDT has extended the deadline for filing ITR by 1 month considering the power grid failure and as we know that efiling has been made mandatory in a number of the cases.
