Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister, West Bengal has stated that they will not be able to give SEZ for Infosys and her comments are as appended below:
"We want Infosys to come to the State, we have full sympathy for them. But we'll not be able to give SEZ as we are opposed to it along with with our resistance to FDI in retail, forcible acquisition of land and privatisation of the banking and insurance sector. We have a principled stand on all these issues."
We will only say that this is a loss to state because if Infosys decide to move away they will be left high and dry.
