Elgi Equipments Ltd. is one of the Asia`s largest manufacturers of air compressors and automobile service station equipment. ELGI`s products can be broadly classified into rotary screw compressors, reciprocating compressors, automotive equipments, railway compressors, diesel engines, and new generation compressors like Vayu Air Compressors. It has two production facilities located at Coimbatore in Tamilnadu. ELGI`s customers include all major automoble manufacturers like Honda, Toyota, Maruti, HAL, Asian Paints, Sony, Indian Railways, ABB, Cromton Greaves etc. ELGI has a wholly owned subsidiary company in Adison Precision Instruments Manufacturing Co. Ltd. A large number of products currently under the ELGI fold are developed in-house like its product which is the world`s smallest screw air compressor. Elgi commissioned its first four centrifugal compressors in India during 2004-05. ELGI exports its products mainly to Europe, North America, Latin America, Africas, Australia, Middle East, South East Asia, West Asia and the Far East.
