OM Metals Infraprojects (OMMEINFRA) was formerly known as Om Metals & Minerals and changed its name to the present one in January 2006. It is involved in diverse activities like execution of turnkey contracts for hydro mechanical equipments, fabrication of radial gates for irrigation/hydel projects, maufacturing of hoists. OMMEINFRA is having plants located at Arunachal Pradesh, Largi, Koldam in Himachal Pradesh; Almatti in Karnataka.The main factory is located in Jaipur (Rajasthan). OMMEINFRA has commissioned one of the largest lift gates in the world.
The company in FY05 had secured work order of highest amount in its history, for hydro mechanical works contract (package IV) of kamenga H.E. Project, Arunachal Pradesh from NEEPCO worth Rs 2,360 million and of 120 MW SEWA H.E. Power project (J&K) from NHPC. OMMEINFRA is an ISO 9002 certified company and parent company of the Om Kothari Group. Om Metals & Minerals had bagged prestigious contracts from organisation like World Bank, NTPC, Ministry of External Affairs, NHPC, NEEPCO and many more. OMMEINFRA has also developed a process by which the weight of the gates constructed already xcan be reduced. This process is seen as a major breakthrough from the company`s point of view given the huge requirement for such a process in view of new power projects in the pipeline. Such a process will suit suit these power projects. The company is also in the process of implenting a new plan for exports and development of products.
