1. Celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi festival is a rage among all Maharashtrians and same is celebrated with great fan and fervour and it is a treat to watch them celebrating the occasion.
2. The aim of mine writing this post is to let the world know the significance of this festival as the same was used effectively by Bal Gangadhar Tilak and other Maratha leaders during our struggle for freedom. They used to organise such mass gatherings and distribute the national propaganda literature for freedom in form of papers being used as backdrop for serving the Lord Ganesha.
3. Thus the festival of Lord Ganesha was succesfully utilised for waging a war against Britishers which ultimately threw them from our territory.
4. The ultimate aim of mine writing this post and bringing out significance of Lord Ganesha festival is to call on all the factions of society to desist from undertaking courses which can be detrimental to the interests of nation like call being given by Raj Thackrey against the non Maharashtrians.
5. Please use the above festival for generating good will and showcase the united stand as a nation so that we can progress collectively and make India as a force to reckon with as tendencies like casteism, regionalism and creed can only take our country back by atleast a decade as numerous opportunities will be lost by Maharashtra in form of business. So rise above petty politics and work together for the betterment of the nation and opportunity can not be better than Lord Ganesha festival.
