1. It is a known fact that forthcoming wars will be fought on economic front as waging a full fledged war is not feasible against India in present scenario.
2. Thus one has to safeguard the mechanisms of BSE, NSE, MCX and other commodity exchanges where a coordinated attack can lead to virtual collapse of the stock exchanges which can be a new dimension of an attack on the economy.
3. Tsun Tzu, a Chinese counterpart equivaent to Kautilya on battle front has stated that know your enemy and know your capabilities and one will be able to win a thousand wars.
4. Thus we must understand the capabilities of China which has the potential to undertake such an attack and it has shown its might by pinging the server of White house to such an extent that it led to its collapse.
5. Thus we have to be forewarned as a number of hackers are eyeing our virtual cyber network and can it crash in case we do not address the issue effectively.
6. One may not be also able to rule out a combination of a limited attack with ground forces and a cyber attack on our vital economic installations by evil forces.
7. Thus SEBI, if you are listening; please undertake the measures to make your systems robust enough to withstand any attack on our economic centres in form of a cyber media attack or a physical attack where some entity may create havoc by unrelentless selling of stocks. Though later possibility may be remote due to depth of our stock market but nothing can be ruled out and we have to be prepared for all contingencies to meet the evil head on and make "India a force to reckon with".
8. I have only given a food of thought for innumerous agencies to get cracking and fill the voids and also learn from our past mistakes as History repeats itself.
