- Selling eligible shares purchased on November 6 under the Buy Today, Sell Tomorrow (BTST) facility, subject to settlement and broker-specific eligibility.
Muhurat Trading Timings: November 8, 2026
The following are the reported trading cut-off times for the special session:
| Trading category | Timing (IST) |
|---|---|
| Market opening / Pre-open | 2:05 PM |
| F&O-enabled stocks | Trading until 3:15 PM |
| Non-F&O-enabled stocks | Trading until 3:30 PM |
| Futures and Options (F&O) | Trading until 3:40 PM |
Important: The 2:05 PM opening time refers to the pre-open stage; continuous equity trading begins at the exchange-designated time. The above cut-off times should be checked against the final NSE and BSE circulars and your broker's trading notice.
Can You Sell Shares Purchased on November 6?
Some brokers may provide a Buy Today, Sell Tomorrow (BTST) facility for eligible shares purchased on November 6, allowing them to be sold during the November 8 Muhurat Trading session.
However, BTST availability is subject to broker policies, settlement arrangements, security eligibility and applicable exchange rules. Investors should confirm eligibility in advance rather than assume that every share purchased on November 6 can be sold during the special session.
Trading reminder: Muhurat Trading is a special market session, but normal market risks continue to apply. Review your orders, available funds, trading limits and risk-management plan before participating. Know more at Indian-Share-Tips.com
