We all sat in the same classroom, shared the same chalkboard, the same tired carpet, the same instructions on how to spell 'success' yet life carved out vastly different destinies for each of us. This is a quiet reminder that the curriculum we are taught barely scratches the surface of what shapes a human being. Behind those identical desks are lives that would one day be praised, forgotten, mourned, judged, or misunderstood.
We're taught math, grammar, maybe a little history, but rarely are we taught resilience, emotional regulation, how to process grief, manage anxiety, or deal with trauma. We are not shown how to heal from invisible wounds or how to break the cycles passed down to us. Before you envy someone's outcome or criticize another's downfall, remember, same room, different battles. Battles no textbook ever prepared them for.
