Eastern region:
Demand sentiments have been subdued in the region in May-25. Of the ₹10/bag price hikes announced in May-25, a partial rollback to the tune of ₹5/bag has taken place
Southern region:
Companies have taken a price hike of ₹20/bag in the trade and non-trade segment in May-25 (on top of the ₹40-50/bag price hikes taken in Apr'25). Dealers are expecting a partial rollback of the same by the end of the month on account of subdued demand. Demand is likely to improve in Jun-25
Northern region:
Demand has been soft in May-25 (due to India-Pakistan border issues). Prices have remained steady on an MoM basis
Central region:
A price hike to the tune of ₹10/bag has been taken in May-25; however, dealers do not anticipate it to sustain completely.
Demand is likely to improve after May-25 (once labourers are back) and eventually pricing would follow the demand uptick
Western region:
The regions has recorded a prices hike in the range of ₹3-5/bag in May-25. Dealers are expecting this hike to sustain as demand is improving
