Portugual surrendered to India forces in Goa. Brig Dhillon Cdr of the Bde. CO 4 Sikhli and 2 Bihar Sugned surrender document. Orbat given in the surrender document. A swift battle to achieve the victory, could not be stopped by the Big 4 in UNSC ,soviets vetoed it. Portugal at that time was the secy gen of NATO. Abdul Nasser at the behest of Nehru stoppped the reinforcements coming through Suez Canal. He possibly returned India favour of recognising nationalisation of Suez Canal by Egypt. Brig Sagat Singh the architect of the victory had his poster placed in Lisbon for a sum, in case somebody can get Him.
