The day is celebrated to commemorate birth of Lord Rama who is considered avatar of Lord Vishnu.
Navratra are celebrated twice a year. Dussehra time Navratri is celebrated for Lord Rama return to Ayodhya ( Sharad Navratra) and present one in Mar/Apr is Lord Rama birth ( Chaitra Navratri). It is celebrated on Shukal Paksh of Vaisakha month.
The equity, F&O, and currency markets will remain closed on 30th March 2023, on account of Ram Navami.
Commodity markets will be closed for the first half and trading will be open only in the evening session (5:00 pm onwards).
