Can Your Finger Prints be used to Steal Cash? : Scam

A person got the message that someone has done Rs 10000 cash withdrawal from his SBI acct using AEPS (Aadhar enabled payment system).Aadhaar enabled Payment System (AePS) is a cash withdrawal service also known as Aadhaar ATM

On goggling about AEPS, realized that this is fingerprint enabled withdrawal which does not need authentication through otp.

SBI after repeated calls to customer care say systems are down, they can do nothing and cannot even lock my account!

Your fingerprints can be stolen from many places such property regn office,, visa office etc.

Now only option is to hope for best. Am closing the SBI acct forever with this level of customer care.

Aadhar biometrics need to be disabled by all on the UIDAI website after Individual log in. You can download maadhar app and enable/disable through mobile in few seconds as per the requirement.

Heard of this earlier too!

It's happening.
Say Good Bye to Losses and start counting profit with our bank nifty option tip on a daily basis.

AEPS can be enabled by anyone who has your biometrics and Aadhar card. These guys steal biometrics from Property registration offices / visa offices. Since AEPS withdrawal limit is 10000 per day, he can't withdraw more than that per day. AEPS is meant for rural illiterate people and is the IT version of angootha withdrawal. This thing is happening only with SBI. As user , you can't even disable it through net banking or customer care.
