Some countries' weekly options expire on Friday instead of Thursday.
Won't it be nice if the weekly options start on Monday and expire on Friday? All those who want to check the time decay factor can consider going for the monthly options.
Why we are asking this fact because, on Friday, options value drop in an instance at the fag end of the day to cater for the time decay being caused on Saturday and Sunday, and the same can even happen on Monday. Thus this does not provide any clear indication that how much time decay is being factored in and traders are just groping in the dark.
Thus we will ask the market regulator to look into it and if options expiry can be shifted to Friday as it will cause less stress level to weekly traders who carry the trades and in turn we will have a healthier India.
This can be at least made applicable for main indices like Finnifty, Nifty, and Bank Nifty.
