How to Short a Stock?

Few of you are finding it difficult to short in the market.

When we ask you to short a share ...for example

Short Infosys at 1400 

Stop 1409

Tgt 1380...intra day.

It means u have to sell a defined quantity ( for example 100)of shares of Infosys at 1400...

Go to ur app or your terminal

Place sell order in intraday ..  quantity(100 )and price or u can select " Market"... which means market price 

For stop loss you go to intraday buy...there you will be given options of Limit, Market and stoploss

 select stoploss....buy 100 quantity under stoploss

Trigger price will be 1409

Stoploss 1410

and when u achieve ur Target u buy at limit price or market price

There are two types of trade ...long and short selling ( we call it short)

Long....you buy first at low price and sell at higher price 

Short....u sell first at higher price and then buy at lower price

When a trader analyses that a particular share is going to go up ...he takes long ( buy) trade

When he analyses that a particular share is going to go down, he takes short trade
