GST on Rental Income

Till now, the GST was applicable on those residential properties which were used for commercial purposes, like offices and shops. But for now on, the tax has to be paid on rent of property for any use.

Do not panic as this is only applicable if the person seeking premises is GST registered and onus is on him to pay and not on the owner and taxation will be on the reverse charge mechanism.
