It could be a passion for you, or a business, livelihood or may be even a hobby. But don't let it turn into a gamble, or a habit you can't get rid of.
All your important relations exist beyond trading, and they'll continue if you stopped trading too.
Don't work under peer pressure or exert yourselves to an extent where it becomes a game of proving yourselves.
Define your goal, and work towards achieving it. No one else can define your success, and no one else should!
