1 Account to be Opened for Girl Child

As a parent it is important that you open a Sukanya samriddhi Yojana account for the girl child before 10 years of age so that you can get the benefit of maximum interest rate.

You can open this account anytime before 10 years of her age with a small amount of rupee 1000. However remember that you can on the deposit upto 150000 in the account per annum.

You can open up to two girl child account. However if the second child is a twin girl child it means you can open up to three girl child account also.

You need to have a lock in up to 21 years where you get the maximum benefit as all the amount including the interest is also tax free.
