Why to avoid CryptoCurrencies? : A Real Trader Narrative

This is a real narrative by a cryptocurrency trader who got struck due to the lure of profitability in the cryptocurrency.

He invested in cryptocurrency in 2018-19 with a small investment, primarily for academic interests... 

Bitcoin was tripling and Ripple was quadrupling.....a small investment of ~40K.... became almost as big as 2-3 Lakhs... In no time got bored or tracking it regularly... And then suddenly came the Govt ban on banks to deal with any entity trading in crypto... All the cryptos were held in exchange(famous Coinex)... And suddenly the exchange disappeared...

Few were successful in withdrawing and transferring to the wallet, within the short span between ban and exchange closure...

But, I couldn't...

Moral: known devil(stocks) is better than an unknown angel(cryptos)... Until there are clear-cut norms and regulations. 

So, let us learn from this cryptocurrency trader and avoid dabbling into it as this type of currency has no base attached to it and is surviving only on the hype being created.
