Due to security reasons all the new credit cards or debit cards come in an inactivated state and one need to get them activated before one is able to use it.
The way to get it activated is as following:

- Call SBI Toll free number
- Select preferred language and choose card activation.
- Enter your SBI card number and complete the security check for the card activation.
