Current A/C Users Pay for ATM Withdrawal from Non Bank ATM

Edit this post

A number of people will not be knowing that if you are a current account holder and you are at a loss as your surplus amount with bank do not carry any interest and this is one amount on which banks make money.

Secondly, if you happen to draw cash from a non bank ATM say you have ICICI bank current a/c and use it at Axis bank ATM, you can withdraw maximum Rs 1000 and for each withdrawal you get charged Rs 20 and breakup of this amount is in form of a fee of Rs17.80 and service tax of Rs 2.

The govt must take care of this aspect as current account holders are adding to the economy in form of service tax, income tax and still do not enjoy 5 free transactions on other bank ATMs like saving account holders.
