Redbus is progressing at a great pace and now it has partnered with Expedia which will help users to book Bus ticket on Expedia site. It is noteworthy that it has reached a milestone of 1 crore bus ticket bookings.
It is a symbiotic relationship as, Expedia gets access to bus seat inventory across more than 180,000 bus services which are operated by 900 operators across the country. Now Expedia will be booking bus tickets, flight and hotel bookings which means a client will have a wider reach.
Focus of Redbus
Redbus(dot)in founder Phanindra Sama also mentioned that Redbus will only concentrate on growing vertically in Bus Ticket booking space a will not venture out into Flight / Train booking services like other travel booking sites.
Why Optimism in Bus Ticket Booking Segment?
He is optimistic as clients will travel in bus where travel time taken by bus is nearly equivalent to how much it takes to travel by Air. Moreover “Volvo” and “Mercedes” have made shorter distance travel very comfortable.
