More than 20 hours after the blackout, Power Grid Corporation of India has said that operations at the three major electricity grids that had collapsed on Tuesday have been restored. The grids were restored around 9:30am on Wednesday morning. "System restored to normal state," the company said in a statement. The officials said although the exact reason is still not known, the problem started with the Eastern Grid and could have also been caused by overdrawals.

"First thing is to stabilise the grid and it has to sustain. For that we will work out a proper strategy. I don't want to start with the blame game...At the appropriate time, we will find out short term and medium term solutions."
Verdict
It is a shame that national grid has failed which paralyses the whole nation. If we see it from strategic point of view than China or as a matter of fact any country which has enmity with India can use it as a tool to sabotage Indian business and can paralyse the whole nation as all essential services will get effected due to non availabiity of power. Now is the time to learn a lesson from this fiasco as this tool can be used by our enemy in war scenario or may be as a tool to bring down our nation in stature in front of international forum.
