Godaddy has recognised India as a potential market and this is the reason it has launched a sub domain for India for selling the domain names. The charges for new domain are Rs 609.99 per year and these charges have risen due to devaluation of rupee against dollar.
It would have had been great had they even shifted the data centres to India as page loading speed is dependent on the location of data centres. Say you are from India and your hosting service provider also has data centres in India than your pages will load faster as compared when data centres are situated abroad.
