As suggested by us yesterday, Nifty has seen a positive up move and it has crossed the psychological barrier of 4900 mark which is a positive sign for the state of the market.
However now level of 4950 is going to be a stiff resistance and if the same is encountered we are in for a short term uptrend. As a thumb rule one must exit all longs if the level of 4780 is broken on the lower side with volume.
Analysis of derivatives market suggest that an increase in put call ratio is being seen which means that we will see some short term uptrend. The market breadth in BSE ended positive with 1,546 shares advancing and 1,139 shares declining. However party may be spoilt if govt decides to hike the diesel prices to counter the automotive companies and also counter criticism of opposition that govt is not doing enough to control fiscal deficit and will try to send positive signal to overseas investors.
