It was a big relief for Google India as its name has been dropped from the list of offending content display case. The move comes in wake of the facts that judge at Delhi court agreed to the fact that Google India was only a subsidiary of Internet giant Google inc and should be removed from the suit.
The cases against seven other firms to include Exbii, IMC India, My Lot, Shyni Blog, Topix, Zombie Time and Boradreader were also dropped by the judge.
Now we have six of the 22 names in the suit being left which includes Facebook India, facebook US, Google Inc, Orkut, Youtube and Blogspot.
We condemn internet censorship in any form and also ask the companies to be responsible in their action that India need not require to act like China.
