TA Associates which is a global private equity firm and in a drive for acquisitions has acquired a minority stake in Indian online payment services company BillDesk. As we know that Billdesk is a service catering for large segment players like Airtel, Vodafone, Tatasky payment services and it do not cater for retail entrepreneurs. BillDesk was founded in year 2000 and has become the most trusted payments service in India.
Bill desk has been able to make a mark for itself in the industry for payment gateway. The investment amount has not been disclosed, however and the preferred partner for banks, businesses and large e-commerce merchants. However Dhiraj Poddar, Director, TA Associates Advisory will join the company’s Board of Directors soon.
