It is commendable that Indore Police has been able to apprehend 2 bike pickers by using Face recognition software and Credit Card analysis.

These two college going students picked up a bike from a mall and had used their credit card in the mall. Indore Police by using the mechanism of Credit card History and searching for Profiles on Facebook nabbed the culprits.

Kudos to Indore Police for being net savvy and definitely a good use of the technology to set the order in the society. Facebook states that they do get requests for image matching requests which is of a great use to track missing persons, however they say that such requests are politely declined.
