Pinterest is a new rage where one can pin liked stuff on a board. However on visiting the site we found that it was by invitation. So, we put our request for being invited and finaally with in 24 hours we got an invitation. It appears that this is a simple stunt to create a buzz for their product. The buzz is already created as we do have Pintile come up which we can call as India’s Pinterest.
The confirmation email stated that we have been invited to Pinterest and asked us to login with Facebook and Twitter. This is not correct as I wanted to have a different id but left with no recourse. So finally the account was live and received email as appended below which shows the guidelines for the pinterest user community:

A few tips to get the most out of Pinterest
- Install the bookmarklet. It lets you add a pin from any website with just one click.
- Follow a few more pinboards. After all, Pinterest is as much about discovering new things as it is about sharing.
- Pin carefully! As one of the first members of Pinterest, your pins will help set the tone for the whole community. Use big images, write thoughtful descriptions, and pin things you really love. Also, no nudity :)
