- One has to be a HDFC bank client and has to ink their debit or credit cards to their mobile number. Just remember that this mobile number needs to be registered with HDFC bank.
- They will be directed to a simple menu based USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data. To make it simple for the readers, we can say that USSD is a protocol used by mobile phones to communicate with the service provider’s servers in mobile technology.
- Select the payment service required and make the payment.
It is an easy interactive menu and can be used to make payment for services like electricity bills, Insurance payments, Utility Bill payment, top-up prepaid cards, buying movie tickets and best part is that they may get special discounts and offers if available on using that service. This service is presently in beta stage and likely to be available to all clients of HDFC bank by year end or may be earlier depending on test trial.
