Google Finance is a real leader in providing finance data and another feather has been added to its cap as London Stock Exchange Group (LSE.L) is going to provide real-time market data to Google (GOOG.O) and thus traders can have free access to London prices previously only available with a delay.
Google Finance is already providing real-time share data from the New York Stock Exchange, the Nasdaq, and exchanges in China and India. Google Finance, which competes with a similar offering from smaller rival Yahoo (YHOO.O), is funded by advertising. Other share prices are provided with a 15 minute delay.
No doubt Google Finance is going to give a tough competition to Thomson Reuters (TRI.TO) and Bloomberg LP
