TVS Motor Company was formerly known as TVS Suzuki. It is the flagship company of the TVS group and is one of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers in India. It manufactures wide range of mopeds, scooterette and motorcycles with products like TVS Scooty, TVS Fiero, TVS Super XL, TVS Victor, TVS Centra, TVS Star, etc. The company has manufacturing plants in Mysore and Hosur. The company has acquired land at Nalagarh Taluk in Solan District, Himachal Pradesh and the construction of factory buildings is in the final phase. TVS has also entered into a joint venture with a Columbian party for exploring opportunities in the Columbian market with an equity investment of Rs 5 million. The subsidiaries of the company are namely, Sundaram Auto Components, TVS Motor Singapore, TVS Motor Company (Europe), PT TVS Motor Company, Indonesia. TVS has a well established network of over 2,000 customer touch points consisting of 541 main dealers and about 1,500 authorised service centers. The product training centers established at key locations help in timely and frequent training of dealer personnel on sales and service aspects.
