The Royal Orchid Hotels has a hotel chain in Bangalore. The group currently includes four hotels- Hotel Royal Orchid, Royal Orchid Central, Royal Orchid Harsha in Bangalore and Royal Orchid Metropole in Mysore. The group has also extended its expertise to a broad spectrum of hospitality solutions that include Food Factory, a catering company supplying packaged meals to a host of MNCs, Presidency College of Hotel Management and a hospitality advisory practice. The hospitality advisory practice includes hotel management, restaurant management, food & beverage concept development & implementation, hospitality project management, financial management and human resources management service that gives training & recruitment of hospitality personnel. The Presidency College has tie ups with Institute Vatel in France and is accredited to the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute. For the business travelers all the rooms in the hotels are wired to act as virtual offices with high-speed internet connectivity and wi-fi services. All hotels are equipped with full-service business centers with secretarial services. The company in January 2006 floated an IPO of Rs 1,000 million. The proceeds from the IPO will be used for expansion of services through acquisitions or fresh projects. The company plans to enter the Jaipur market by opening up a 70-room hotel. It is also planning to develop other properties in Pune and Hyderabad.
