MM Forgings (MMFORG) is engaged in manufacturing steel forgings for the automobile industry. It was incorporated as The Madras Motors to trade Royal Enfield motorcycles in India and got its present name in 1993. The ISO 9001:2000 certified company manufactures steel forgings in raw, semi-machined and fully machined stages in various grades of carbon, alloy, micro-alloy and stainless steel. It uses software like CAD, CAM and CAE for making component layouts, die layouts and process drawings. The Company caters to the forging requirements of almost all sections of industry. It has regular contracts with major steel mills in India and also imports steel from around the world. The four manufacturing plants are located in the Sivagangai Pudukkottai, and Kancheepuram districts and Chennai in Tamil Nadu with a combined installed capacity of 30,000 MTPA steel forgings. Semi-finished components are supplied to different customers. The company continues to be one of the largest exporters of steel forgings from India and has received 17 consecutive annual awards from the Engineering Export Promotion Council. Most of the forgings are exported to major OEMs and Tier 1 companies in North America and Europe. Export sales have crossed the Rs 1 billion mark in FY07, which account for 60% of total sales. Srivatsa Electric & Electronic is a subsidiary of the company. The registered office is located at 95, Anna Salai, Guindy, Chennai-600032.
