Kovilpatti Lakshmi Roller Flour Mills (KLRFM) is engaged in the activities of wheat flour milling, production of cotton yarn, sheet metal fabrication and power generation through windmills since 1961. KLRFM started its wheat flourmill operation in the year 1964. Its total milling capacity is 5,000 tons a month. Its wheat products are sold under the brand name, `Kuthuvillaku` in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The present capacity of the company is about 60,000 tonne for flour-mill division and in textile division it has installed 29,520 spindles and 1,344 rotors. The company supplies its yarns primarily to clothing units in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu and also exports to East Asian countries such as Korea, Malaysia and Singapore. KLRFM owns 9 windmills after including the two new windmills of 1.25 mw each, the total power generation capacity of the company is 6.25 mw, which would be sufficient for 70% of power requirement of the company. Its plants are located at Gangaikondan, Subbiahpuram, and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. The company is listed on BSE, CSX, and MSE.
