Gujarat Gas Company (GUJRATGAS) started in 1988, aims to procure, distribute and utilize natural gas and allied technology. Promoted by BG International, GUJRATGAS is the largest private sector gas distribution company in India with more than 170,000 domestic customers, 2,200 commercial customers, 650 industrial customers and around 30,000 automobiles.
The company`s pipelines are spread over more than 2,000 Km in three major industrial cities of Gujarat. GUJRATGAS supplies approximately 4 million standard cubic meters per day of natural gas to approximately 200,000 domestic households, 2,500 commercial customers, more than 42,500 automobiles and 750 industrial customers, which include Indian and multinational companies in sectors like pharmaceuticals, chemicals, textile, ..etc. This makes it the largest private sector gas distribution company in volume terms in India. GUJRATGAS has a financial services subsidiary Gujarat Gas Financial Services (GGFS) and a trading company called Gujarat Gas Trading Company (GTC) which is engaged in the business of transmission and distribution of natural gas in the state of Gujarat. BG Asia Pacific Holdings (BGAPH), incorporated in Singapore, is the holding company of GUJRATGAS.
