Bhartiya International (BIL) was incorporated as Bhartiya Galecha Industries in 1987. The company began its operations with the export of carpets and eventually diversified into leather garments. BIL is India?s largest manufacturer and exporter of leather apparel for men, women and children. It sells its products under the brand names Yukali, Ompel and Moks Italia. It manufactures leather garments at its in-house manufacturing facilities. The company?s modern state-of-the-art facilities are located in Bangalore, Chennai and China with a capacity of 500,000 garments per annum. BIL owns a tannery in Chennai with a capacity of 5,000 skins per day in different finishes. It sources large quantities of leather from Korea, China, Italy, France and Spain. Bhartiya International has a branch under its own label Monks Italia in Italy for marketing high-end garments in Europe. It also has marketing and merchandising office in New York at the disposal of all customers. It exports its products to countries like Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, Canada and US. BIL has also forayed into the fashion accessories business and finished leather business. It has signed a MoU with an American company Irvin Tanning Company Inc. for the production of various types of finished leather. The company is also into textile business, and it has a 100% subsidiary WFT based in Hong Kong. BIL is based at New Delhi, India.
