Seshasayee Paper & Boards (SESHAPPR), the flagship company of the ESVIN group, is an integrated pulp, paper and paper boards manufacturer. It was incorporated on Jun. 22, 1960. The company produces a wide range of products such as printing and writing papers, packing and wrapping papers, and specialty papers. Its branded products include SPrint, Index, Colour Sprint, SprintPlus, Success, ..etc. The company has five paper machines at its plant in Tamil Nadu with an installed capacity of 115,000 TPA and achieved a production capacity of 123,468 tons for the year ended March 31, 2007. Seshasayee Paper & Boards has undertaken a major mill development plan, which envisages total replacement of the existing wood pulping equipment. New and advanced technological features like RDH pulping, a new modern chemical recovery boiler, a black liquor evaporation plant, a lime re-burning kiln and a turbo alternator set are also being installed. Erection of the black liquor evaporation plant was completed and commissioned in March 2007. The erection of the lime mud re-burning kiln has since been completed and trials are underway. The entire project is slated to be completed by December 2007. The company is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified. The company has received the Certificate of Export Recognition for Outstanding Export Performance from CAPEXIL and has been awarded the Golden Export House status. It exports nearly 20% of its production and is a significant exporter in the Indian paper industry.
