NRB Bearings (NRAGRINDQ) is a diversified bearings manufacturer. It was established on June 30, 1965 as an Indo French joint venture with financial and technical collaboration from Nadella, which belongs to Timken, a world leader in taper roller bearings. Earlier known as Needle Roller Bearing Company, it got its present name on Feb. 01, 1990 through shareholder resolution. The TS 16949 certified company produces needle roller bearings, spherical roller bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, wide inner ring bearings, tapered roller bearings and ball bearings. These find application in two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, multi-utility vehicles, heavy and light commercial vehicles and tractors. Manufacturing units are located at Jalna, Aurangabad, Waluj, and Thane in Maharashtra; Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh; Thailand; and the recently set up Uttarakhand plant, which will meet the requirements of Tata Motors and other original equipment manufacturers like Bajaj Auto, Ashok Leyland and Hero Honda in Jharkhand. Using state-of-the-art software including Pro-Engineer and Pro-Mechanica for product design, the company set up an R&D center at its Thane plant to achieve its the goal of becoming a bearing solutions provider. Its indigenous manufacturing capabilities are complemented by its agency division which handles sales and marketing of bearings, seals of machine tool, automotive, electrical and construction machinery with foreign prinicipals like Defontaince SA-Rollix, Nadella, Gamet Bearings, Wschneeberger AG, IBC Walzalager Gmbh, Hallite Seals International, Sferax SA and Agathon AG. NRB Bearings (Thailand), a 100% subsidiary, handles exports to the ASEAN region. SNL Bearings is the other subsidiary Besides the automobile sector, the company manufactures spare parts for the textile machinery industry. It has a wide network of preferred distributors and zonal offices throughout the country with warehousing facilities in, Gurgaon, Noida, New Delhi, Waluj, Nagpur, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.
