National Fertilizers Live NSE BSE Charts/Prices

National Fertilizers (NFL) was promoted by the Government of India in 1974 to set up fuel oil-based urea plants in Haryana and Punjab. NFL took over Fertilizer Corporation of India`s plant in Punjab and set up a natural gas-based urea plant at Vijaipur. NFL has the second largest urea capacity facilities in the country after IFFCO. Its facilities are located in the high-demand areas of Punjab, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. The company`s share in the total production of urea in the country during 2004-2005 was 17%, which incidentally accounts for the major part of its turnover. The company has a 100 tons per annum bio-fertilizers plant in Indore producing PSB, Rhizobium and Azotobacter. The company achieved production of 3.43 million MT of urea in 2004-2005. The overall capacity utilization including industrial nitrogen was 107.1 % as compared with 101.52 % in the previous year. The company`s primary focus now is to bring down the level of energy consumption. A feasibility study is being carried out for revamp of the Panipat unit for changeover of feedstock from fuel oil to R-LNG and to bring down energy level per MT urea. A study work has been entrusted to HTAS for revamp of Vijaipur -I plant to achieve reduction in energy consumption. Also another study work has been entrusted to HTAS and Snamprogetti for carrying out feasibility study to increase capacity of Vijaipur-ll by a minimum of 10%.
