Man Industries (India) (MANIND), incorporated on May 19, 1988, is a leading manufacturer and exporter of large diameter carbon steel line pipes. Earlier known as Man Aluminium, it got its present name on Feb. 24, 1995. It is part of the Man Group of UK, a successful trading organization for over 32 years and also has business interests in the manufacture of aluminum extrusion products and large diameter line pipes. Man Aluminium, Man Infraprojects, and Man USA Inc. are other group companies. Longitudinal submerged arc welded (LSAW) line pipes are manufactured catering to the needs of high pressure, cross-country pipeline owners and operators; and helically submerged arc welded (HSAW) line pipes used in the conventional segments of oil transportation, water supply, sewerage, agriculture and construction, and also in high pressure onshore installation applications. All types of anti-corrosion coating such as 3LPE, FBE internal epoxy are offered. Manufacturing units are located at Pithampur in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh and Anjar in the Kutch district of Gujarat. With the commissioning of a new production line for HSAW pipes, the company becomes the first Indian company to manufacture 18-meter pipes. It now has capacity to manufacture over 2,500 Km of line pipes with coating systems every year. Quality certifications such as API, ISO-9001, ISO-9002, ISO-14001, and ISO-18001 have been achieved over time. The newly commissioned mill has started producing pipes for executing the USD 225 million single order from a prestigious US client and has shipped 18-meter HSAW pipes to its US client. Major export orders aggregated Rs 2,200 million including the order received from the oil and gas major Petronas of Malaysia for the supply of LSAW pipes in mid 2007. Gas Authority of India, Reliance Industries, Larsen & Toubro, Sonatrach (Algeria), Petrojet (Egypt), Saipem (Italy), NIGC (Iran), NMDC (Abu Dhabi), Qatar Petroleum, and Saudi Aramco (Saudi Arabia) are some of the other customers.
