Maharashtra Seamless (MAHSEAMLES) a flagship company of DP Jindal group was incorporated in the year 1988. The company is the largest manufacturer of seamless steel pipes and tubes in India with a production capacity of over 250,000 MT per annum. The wide product range covers sizes and specifications catering to diverse applications like the oil & gas sector, hydrocarbon industry, boilers & heat exchangers, automotive, bearing and general engineering industries, ..etc. MAHSEAMLES`s plant in Raigad, Maharashtra has a technical collaboration with MANNESMANN DEMAG HUTTENTECHNIK of Germany. MAHSEAMLES uses the well-known CPE Technology and is capable of producing size range from 3/4 inch OD to 7 inch OD in hot finished and from 10 mm OD to 108 mm OD in cold drawn/cold pilgered condition. Nearly 25% of the production is exported to the United States and Middle East. The company also manufactures ERW Pipes ranging from 8 inch to 20 inch with wall thickness between 3.2 mm to 12.70 mm. The major applications for ERW pipes are in natural gas or oil, diesel, drinking water and sewage/water treatment. Further, the company also has its presence in power division with 20 wind mills aggregating to 7 MW capacity for captive consumption, which accounts for 26% of its total power requirement., In 2004-2005 the company expanded its production facilities, using plug mill technology supported by world class reelers, to manufacture for the first time in India, large size seamless pipes of diameter upto 14 inches and wall thickness upto 40 mm. With this expansion, the total installed capacity of seamless pipe and ERW pipes has increased to 225,000 MT and 200,000 MT respectively.
