The company is part of the IFB group, which also includes IFB Agro Industries and IFB Automotive. Engineering good such as fine blanking tools, press tools and fine blanked components are manufactured that are needed by precision engineering industries. Motors used in white goods and having automotive applications are also manufactured. The home appliances division manufactures washing machines, dryers, microwaves, and dishwashers. Manufacturing units are located at different locations in West Bengal, Bangalore, Goa and Bhopal. Facilities in Kolkata and Bangalore are ISO 9001 and ISO 9002 certified respectively. In FY08, the company launched its industrial dish washer business in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and other major cities. It also introduced top-loader washing machines. On Jul. 30, 2004, it was declared a sick industrial unit by The Board for Industrial & Financial Reconstruction (BIFR).
