As of now with the see saw in stock market and tussle between the bulls and bears, we see Nifty being range bound between 4800-5200 and maximum peak being reached at 5300 level. The BSE market breadth was marginally negative. Out of 2,884 stocks traded, 1,415 stocks declined and 1,357 advanced. As of now the undercurrent in the market is appearing to be turning weak and this will be confirmed once Nifty breaks the psychological barrier where one can short Nifty for target 4900. No doubt 5000 is a strong psychological support and same is also confirmed by virtue of the analysis of the derivatives market as open interest (OI) in the 5,000-strike put options stands at 8.01 million shares which is higher compared to OI at 5.75 million shares in the same strike call options Thus the ideal bet is to trade in hot shares and make money by the end of the day and take each day as anew money making opportunity at NSE and BSE. As of today Nifty has made a lower top and lower bottom which means that it is an early indication for the downtrend commencement. However All is well till the time 5000 level is upheld.

Commodities retreat during the times of uncertainty and safe-haven metals like gold advances and same was the state today with gold and dollar advanced as fresh concerns about the eurozone sovereign debt crisis curbed investor appetite for riskier assets. The meeting of European policymakers' produced no new ideas for solving the continent's crippling sovereign debt crisis.
